Village magazine
the messenger

The Messenger is a bi-monthly magazine for West Hill village, produced by the team at St Michael's and distributed free to every home in the community.
We hope that everyone in the village will find that The Messenger offers a good insight into the life of the village and St Michael's.
Each edition includes the "Yellow Pages", a range of useful advertising, either individuals or businesses based in West Hill or whose services are of value to residents.
Publication Dates
The Messenger is published six times a year on 1st April, 1st June, 1st August, 1st October, 1st December and 1st February. Copy deadlines are generally the 1st of the preceeding month,. The copy date [which may vary occasionally] for each edition is confirmed in the preceeding issue.
Distribution
The Messenger is delivered, free of charge, by a team of volunteers to every home in West Hill, over 900 households. If you live in West Hill and do not receive a copy, please let us know straight away. With the number of new houses being built in the area, it is possible that we might have missed you.
Equally, if you are prepared to help as a distributor, please let us know. The village is divided into a large number of zones so each distributor only has to visit part of a street or a couple of local closes. The more help we have, the smaller each round will be.
Advertising
The Yellow Pages are set for 12 months from December to November each year. Entries have to be submitted and accepted by 1st October for inclusion in the following year.
Your advertisment will be in every householders hands six times a year and The Messenger therefore provides a useful directory that everyone uses and refers to.
Advertising space is limited and priority booking is offered to the previous year's advertisers. Rates for adverts range from £60 for a 1/4 page to £185 for a full page.
"Small Ads" may also be published each edition. Please ask for details.
Contributions
The Editor welcomes contribtions to The Messenger both to do with the life and mission of the church and also general articles and information about West Hill village and our community. As the only village magazine, we want it to reflect all aspects of life in West Hill and welcome information and articles from clubs, societies and community groups in the village.
