Safeguarding and Protection

 safeguarding policy

West Hill Church is part of the Otter Vale Mission Community (OVMC), which takes the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults very seriously.  Personnel and volunteers who work in positions of trust are DBS checked and receive safeguarding training.

The OVMC Safeguarding Policy has been adopted by the West Hill PCC and it is available for you to read on this website.

If you have any concerns about the welfare of a child or vulnerable adult, there are various contact numbers from which you can seek help and advice, you will find them on page 12 of the downloadable policy below.
Please refer to Appendix 1 of the Safeguarding Policy or one of the posters displayed in the church.
The complete policy document can be downloaded here.

Code of Safer Working Practice

The Code of Safer Working Practice expresses our commitment to demonstrating God’s love by placing the highest priority on the safety of those to whom we minister. It sets out what we expect from anyone who ministers in our church, and is one of the ways we ensure high standards of safeguarding in all we do.
